Tax Accountant -The Tax Accountant will be responsible for all multi-state Sales, Use, & Excise Tax payments. Responsible for ensuring filings are in compliance with statutory time lines. The Tax Accountant will maintain adequate documentation to support the filing of all multi-state Property Tax Returns and assist external Tax Accountants and Financial Auditors during interim and year-end procedures.

Ensure timely filing of tax returns and extensions in all states where The organization operates retail locations. Ensure that payment of applicable fees and minimum tax payments is done correctly and meets deadlines. Correspond with federal, state, and local tax authorities on tax compliance matters. Work directly with other departments to coordinate the gathering of information necessary for compliance and other projects. Monitor fixed asset additions and dispositions as they relate to annual property tax funds.

Ensure liability and asset accounts related to sales, use, excise and property tax are reconciled and balanced monthly. Other duties and special projects as assigned by the Controller.
