Join us to !Your role at Clorox:The Manager, Content will provide strategic oversight for content publishing on digital platforms (owned website inclusive of direct to consumer (DTC), mobile platforms and CRM) in an effort to drive consumer engagement and deliver the marketing and sales goals for the business. This role is the Subject Matter Expert role (SME) responsible for driving to a holistic consumer experience through the direction, development and management of strategy, investment choices and implementation for the cleaning business. It requires an ability to interact across different levels of technical, analytical, creative and business aspects bringing brand building know-how, strategic thinking, creative content capability, sales conversion, strong communication and writing skills, a deep understanding of how to generate insights through data, and measurement strategies. This role requires integration and collaboration with internal Team Leadership, as well as a partnership with multi-functional Subject Matter Experts: Commerce, Content, Channel, Known Consumer, Personalization, Direct to Consumer, various agency partners.Additionally, this role will have responsibility for actively coaching and guiding the work and performance with direct oversight of external teams of agency personnel as well as project management of in-house (Tech & Content) agency teams when required.In this role, you will:Drive Strategy, Planning, Integration and Execution: - Lead Digital (Web, DTC, CRM) strategies and tactics. Drive content integration and production across all prioritized touchpoints, delivering optimized messaging to consumers across the ecosystem. Activate discipline specific tactics per the plan and testing roadmap. - Proactively report tactical results and recommend actions for improvement.Content/Web Strategy -

  • Lead the development of Content Strategy and Roadmap for Digital Channels to help improve the website experience and deliver on business goals; Manage SEO audits to drive strategy. Enable technology teams for managing enhancements and fixes.
  • Provide hands-on management through all phases of web site redesigns, updates and retailer specific content build.
  • Works closely with DTC pod lead and pod specialists to collaborate on how and what content is needed to deliver against site strategy goals
  • Partners with the DTC and extended BE team to determine how content and site strategy will be in service to the BU learning agenda
  • Considers site behaviors (search trends, top SKU purchases, cross-purchase trends, segmentation goals/insights) as inputs to fueling content strategy for owned platforms
  • Leverages content to further spotlight the value proposition of shop.clorox.com (convenience, cross-category purchase, online exclusive bundles) and helps further test and iterate based on what is resonating with consumers throughout the calendar year.Content Creation -
    • Lead or co-lead content engine required of campaign and real-time marketing, Enable teams to manage content calendar for all channels;
    • Partner with internal teams to customize and distribute content and communications that support the consumer journey as necessaryLoyalty Database -
      • Partner with Known Consumer Marketing Lead to drive strategy for management of customer database/first party data and tactics. - Inclusive of program acquisition, engagement and retention tactics to meet business goals for both owned database.Measurement/Performance Management/Anaytics-
        • Lead learning plan agenda (goals/KPI) for websites and all campaign tactics. Enable teams to manage analytics to ensure proper measurement; make recommendations on how to improve; Share your successes and prove out strategies.Execution -
          • Manage the budget (web/content). -Lead or enable the coordination and project Management for tactical executions including Partnership activations. Manage agencies teams and vendors to ensure proper distribution and execution.People Enable -
            • Directly oversees team of agency personnel.
            • Manage agency teams: staffing/personnel, deliverables + quarterly & annual performance reviews. - Set goals/objectives, contribute to staffing and scope of work requirements as well as performance management.
            • Actively foster collaboration across other agency teams (Media, Creative, Website, Commerce, DTC, PR, etc.) -Partner across Brand Engagement Division & with the CoE:
              • Educate the Studio team/organization/other SME's on capabilities, emerging opptys, program results and learnings.
              • Collaboration with teams and contribute to capability building efforts to ensure consistency of core practices and the abilty to proactively drive and scale Studio learnings to other Studios and across DisciplinesWhat we look for:Skills and Abilities:Experience:
                • Agency experience in digital and/or social media, shopper marketing , PR; professional experience with a major digital platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube); consumer-packaged goods experience is a plus.
                • Knowledge of integrated marketing planning and processes
                • DTC or ecommerce startup experience is a plusCreativity:
                  • A strong creative gut; Have a proven ability to link editorial, content strategy, paid distribution, and audience segmentation to drive online conversations and consumer engagment.Analytics:
                    • Have experience working with an analytics team to measure campaign ROI and generate insights that inform future recommendations and decisions.
                    • Proven ability to harness analytic skills while breeding high creativity and experimentation;
                    • Strategic and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from various sources and offer creative marketing solutions . Experience with complex data environments, analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc, and using behavioral analytics to evaluate success and inform priorities is a plusCommunication:
                      • Strong influencing, communication and presentation skills; has the ability to tell a story from data
                      • Excellent writing, oral and interpersonal skills are a must
                      • Demonstrated project leadership and teamwork skills in cross-functional planning and execution
                      • Well-organized and detail-oriented with good time management skills
                      • Have the proven ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced office environment.Systems/Tools:
                        • Strong knowledge of web/digital technologies and services
                        • Proficient in Excel, Power Point and Word; -Some knowledge of basic features in Photoshop and Illustrator is a bonus.Experience Required10 - 15 years' experience, agency or in-house agency experience in website planning, creative strategy, content marketing, Public Relations digital and/or social media; editorial or online publishing experience.Workplace type:We seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences.
