companies operating out of Oakland, specializing in drayage and
transloading services. We engage in international and intermodal
drayage, offering transportation service of both imported and
domestic merchandise, dry and refrigerated, for maritime and
rail/intermodal customers.Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:Perform B to B commerce transactions and
coordinate with external clientsAssist management with complex
projects, multiple stakeholders and competing priorities to create
an actionable plan and get the most impactful work doneActive
participation in / experience with business planning and strategy
developmentSupport department goals for revenue growth,
profitability, and market leadership in our selected target
marketsParticipate in implementation of sector business plan, in
partnership with leadership, to assist the business with insights
and strategy on market size and potential, SWOT, key pursuits,
strategic initiatives, key accounts and revenue
forecastWebsite:Perform maintenance of GSC's online domain specific
to sector including, content implementation, sector landing pages,
and enhanced expert pagesResearch industry themes and trends for
topic generation, create blog posts, keep news, glossary, and
content pages up-to-date and fresh on websiteMonitor and report to
management on online activity, identify potential trends, and
assist in the creation of departmental KPI'sCommunications:Write,
edit, and refine marketing content (flyers, articles, newsletters,
white papers, etc.)Revision and submission of Client Advisory
communicationsPlanning and execution of employee
communicationsCoordinate with external sources for content creation
to include external consultants and writersMust have experience
with Email Management Systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)Able to
handle customer email campaigns, creating mailing lists and
templates, including variable fieldsSocial Media:Act as a brand
ambassador on social media sites - LinkedIn, Google My Business to
promote content relevant to GSC's businessRegularly record industry
specific content for posting on social media sitesMaintain GSC's
social media presence including garnering followers and ensuring
favorable statistics and page engagementVendor Management:Develop
and retain relationships with external consultants and vendors
(like website, SEO, video production and software) to ensure
alignment and that campaigns continue to move forwardSupport
management with vendors regarding onsite functions, such as client
meetings and employee eventsSales Support:Coordinate responses to
detailed requests for proposals (RFQ/RFPs)Respond to and escalate
internal requests for sales and marketing presentations, files,
images, etc.Database Management:Be able to run Salesforce and CRM
reportsMaintain GSC's database of contactsPerform upkeep for how
clients are kept in SalesforceContent Planning and
Management:Administer a content calendar denoting all upcoming
marketing activities, both internal and externalCoordinate on
distribution of employee communicationsPerform upkeep on the
company's intranetEvent Planning and Management:Support our
participation at trade shows and other events.Coordinate logistics
of external marketing events such as conferences and trainings
(including travel, shipping, registrations, etc.)Assist with
campaigns around GSC's attendance at conferences, including but not
limited to coordination of meetings, booths, dinners, and
after-hours events.Survey creation and analysis Applicants must be
