This is an INTERNAL opportunity only.All staff for Summer Learning Programs will report in person to a specific campus location.For location, date and time information on this position Click here.This is a voluntary summer position.Programs will be held on campus and follow COVID-19 safety rules.Summer programs will implement COVID Safety plans as per the Alameda County Public Health. For more information on COVID Safety protocols see updates here.JOB DESCRIPTIONCreate a positive, achievement-oriented, and structured online learning environment that motivates and supports studentsExecute daily instruction responsibilities, including lesson plans and connecting students with resources.Provide feedback to students and families regularly share their progress toward their goalsDesign and implement subject-relevant curriculumFollow and use grade and subject matter appropriate curriculumExhibit and utilize effective classroom management techniquesUse culturally relevant pedagogyDesign and implement differentiated instruction and assessments for various skill levels and learning typesOther duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSValid California Credential authorizing service in applied positionTraining and experience in the specific programs are requiredMust be proficient in standards-based instruction and assessment Demonstrate ability to motivate at-risk youthPlease note that selected candidates will be assigned based on program needs. Selected candidates are expected to commit to the program for the duration of the assignment. Offer and continuation of employment is dependent upon level of student enrollment and attendance. Notice of employment will be sent to the selected candidates. Qualified personnel from within the district will be considered for placement. Per OEA contract Article 23.3.3.3, unit members will not be selected for more than two consecutive years. Should no qualified applicants apply, unit members may serve for more than two consecutive years.
