You will be part of an agile team with the responsibility to product engaging and innovative products for physicians and patients. You will get exposure to a wide variety of technologies and tools. You will make highly visible and dramatic impact to our customers and will be continually challenged. As a Principal Engineer, you will be reporting to the Sr. Manager, Data Engineering and you will be responsible for the development of Altais Healths physician-centered solutions. You are primarily responsible for responsible for the development and configuration of microservices and systems that support the acquisition, transformation, preparation, analysis, and delivery of healthcare and other data for operational and data science needs. This position is located in our San Francisco Montgomery Street location and will move to our brand-new Oakland City Center location in Spring 2020. Responsibilities

• Work in a collaborative, team-centric environment utilizing agile principles.
• Build solutions where the problem is often ill-defined.
• Lead an agile team by example. Mentor fellow engineers, establish leading practices, enforce quality, and take ownership of the codebase.
• Follow leading DevOps cloud practices such as continuous delivery, automation, infrastructure as code, containerization and orchestration.
• Explore new technologies and techniques to continuously delivery innovation to customers. Knowledge and Experience
  • Requires a BS or MS in Computer Science (Masters preferred) or a related discipline, and a minimum of 10 years of software development experience.
  • Requires current hands on experience with modern software development techniques including full stack development, Service Oriented Architecture and third-party integration techniques and technologies.
  • Experience with HTML, Java, Objective -C, node.js, Typescript, React frameworks and tools required.
  • Experience with relational DBMS, SQL and NOSQL datastores, and associated big data technologies required.
  • Experience with healthcare integration protocols such as HL-7 or SMART on FHIR.
  • Experience with data mastering and ETL solutions such as Semarchy, Talend, Informatica, as well as related native cloud solutions.
  • Experience in new product, system or application development and delivery.
  • Experience integrating with enterprise systems or EMRs is highly desirable.
  • AWS development and implementation experience is highly desirable.
  • Healthcare industry experience; understanding of HIPAA and its impact on security requirements, development, and logging. You Share our Mission & Values
