The Neuroscience Transitional Care unit is a 27 bed unit that provides care to patients admitted to the Neurology, Neurovascular and Neurosurgical services. These patients require frequent neurological assessment and complex care not available in general acute care areas, but do not require placement in an Intensive Care Unit. The Neuroscience Transitional Care Unit provides a transition from the Neurological Intensive Care Unit to the Neuroscience Acute Care Unit before patient is discharged home. While this is a highly specialized unit, the Neuroscience Transitional Care unit also serves a diverse patient population with other medical conditions requiring transitional level of care. All beds have telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry monitoring capability. Qualifications: Three years demonstrated hospital management/leadership skills, with progressive expertise in patient care services. Knowledge to manage disaster incidents, critical events and ability to problem solve with critical thinking skills Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California Active American Heart Association CPR Certification Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing Strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a climate for effective communication and collaborative decision making Strong leadership, fiscal and operations management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, management and staff from all disciplines Ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork, collaboration and consistent achievement of objectives Knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology and patient care workflows and processes Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing and compliance environments https://ucsf.recsolu.com/external/requisitions/P80zVw6pkg1JiJQ7HF0N3A
