Vendor Risk Management Director Location: Oakland, CA Job Number:
897120 Date posted: 01/19/2021 Submit Interest Description: This
role will design, build and lead the new KP vendor risk management
function of the Vendor Risk and Data Office. Over 38,000 KP vendors
are in scope with over $16B in spend. This role will partner and
influence leaders across KP to drive process, policy and technology
changes in how we assess and manage vendor risk. Essential
- Builds and implements a vendor risk management framework,
operating model and governance.
- Collaborates and builds cross functional partnerships with the
Technology Risk Office, National Compliance Office, Business
Continuity Planning and Buy-to-Pay Financial Team to develop,
implement, and execute integrated vendor risk assessments.
- Responsible for developing the strategy for vendor risk
management, as well as, the daily operations of the Vendor Risk
team in the VRDO.
- Develops and implements policies, processes, procedures and
controls surrounding vendor risk assessment and mitigation.
- Establishes, develops, and implements key metrics and
monthly/ad-hoc reporting for vendor risk management.
- Incorporates vendor risk assessment and management across the
continuum of the vendor lifecycle.
- Accountable for oversight of the development, implementation,
operations, and continuous improvement of the financial risk
- Responsible for evaluation, selection, implementation, and
operationalization of all third-party vendor solutions in support
of the VRDO's risk management functions.
- Performs additional duties as required. Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum ten (10) Years directly related experience in one or
more of the following areas: 1) risk management, compliance and/or
auditing; or 2) Vendor Risk Management, to include experience in
Source-To-Pay type processes and controls required.
- Minimum five (5) years related management/supervisory
experience required. Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance and
Accounting, Management Science, Public Policy, Purchasing &
Contract Management, Sourcing, Information Technology, or a related
field required. License, Certification, Registration

- Ability to build cross-functional partnerships and develop
strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Extensive background in managing relationships with
