Role Overview
Alameda Health System is hiring! The Director of Enterprise Project
Management Office (ePMO) is accountable for the oversight of the
AHS project portfolio to include project initiative selection,
prioritization, and governance to align with the AHS strategic
roadmap; accountable for brokering and aligning people, process,
and tools necessary to successfully deliver initiatives on-time,
on-budget, and on-value by applying the use of project management
methodology, tools and processes to effectively manage project
delivery lifecycle.
This role reports to the Chief Information Officer and works
closely with the Executive Leadership Team of AHS to support the
project / Information Services governance and strategic direction
of AHS.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The ePMO Director will be focused on three major areas of work.
This leader will lead the ePMO initiatives and work
They will be responsible for maintaining and management of the
ePMO/IS governance processes including staffing the Strategic
Management Action Results Team for ELT.
Provide oversight to the Information Services Budget as well as all
capital project initiatives.
Additional duties include:
Supervises staff and manages employee performance; provides
on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and
trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggests
way to develop skills; monitors workflow.
Develops and implements the selection, alignment, and
prioritization of portfolio initiatives according to the AHS
strategic roadmap; Assist leadership in the development of project
artifacts to justify the business/financial case for new initiative
selection; execute multi-year project portfolio initiatives
supporting the AHS strategic roadmap; provide visibility and
on-going status reports throughout the project delivery
lifecycle.
Leads the assessment of business & technology solutions, providing
detailed analysis as needed.
Manages the enterprise project management tools and methodologies
for communicating the status of strategic initiatives and
projects.
Provides oversight of the ePMO & IT Budget, vendor management &
contract renewals.
Develops staff to evaluate activities, projects, products, and
investments with a value-based, client- and consultant-focused
approach.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Any combination of education and experience that would likely
provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as
possession of any required licenses or certifications is
qualifying.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Required Education: Bachelor's degree from
an accredited college or university in Business Administration,
Healthcare Administration, or Information Systems Management.
Preferred Education: Master's or MBA degree.
Required Experience: Ten years' experience building and using PMO
methodology, process, and tools; eight years of leadership
management role overseeing a team; experience working alongside
executives and organizational stakeholders to collaborate and
partner on driving strategic initiatives and helping to achieve
organizational goals; experience in leading project teams,
including internal and external teams, across an array of programs
and functional areas.
Preferred Licenses/Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation; Six Sigma /
LEAN certification or background; PMP Certified.
Salary Range:
Competitive salary will be offered to reflect job duties and
experience. Target salary range is between $190,000 and
$250,000.
