CalWest's client school in the Greater Oakland Area seeks a Assistant Director of Advancement to begin August 2022.
Qualifications

• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience managing Salesforce and project management platforms
• Excellent organizational and relationship-building skills
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in development/fundraising/event planning
• Experience with social media and creative marketing campaigns
• Experience in independent schools is preferred
  Responsibilities
  • Execute forward-thinking development programs that grow the annual, major, and capital campaigns; legacy gifts; and planned giving
  • Support the implementation of innovative and mission-centered fundraising efforts
  • Coordinate donor cultivations, donor visits, golf tournament, speaker series, and other special events, including NLS's annual gala
  • Manage and maintain donor database via Salesforce, providing development and fundraising reports as necessary
  • Collaborate with the Director of Admissions and Marketing on PR/marketing initiatives and collateral that expand and enhance the school's visibility and reputation
  • Oversee production of seasonal NLS advancement newsletter, "The Beacon"
  • Identify corporate and foundation funding opportunities and help draft grant applications
  • Strengthen relationships with the school's alumni, develop alumni programming, and maintain alumni contact database
