innovation and sales growth. OCHO Candy is growing, and we are
seeking an eager and capable Brand Marketing Manager to build on
past success. This is a hands-on role that will work closely with
our VP of Sales & Marketing, Director of Product Development, and
E-Commerce and Sales team members to ensure the functionality,
cohesiveness and success of our brand's marketing communications,
programs, and strategies. The Brand Marketing Manager will be able
to blend their love of good food, with their desire to apply and
develop their marketing expertise. *Reports to: *VP Sales &
Marketing *Location: *On-site Position - Oakland, CA
*RESPONSIBILITIES: *
* Marketing and Brand Building * Lead data gathering and analysis
related to consumer behavior, competitor analysis, category trends,
marketing trends and formulate recommendations for promotion,
content, positioning and innovation
* Leverage available data & insights to identify channel and
customer opportunities to improve strategies and drive incremental
growth
* Develop brand and product selling stories supported with
category, sales, and consumer data * Plan and execute marketing
programs * Develop, plan, and execute advertising, communications,
and product campaigns together with Sales team to drive awareness
and sales results
* Manage and execute brand external communications - social media
content focus, consumer email newsletter, website recipes, blogs,
and product information
* Coordinate trade show activities and logistics
* Support external department partners and collaborators -
advertising, SEO, PR, design - on marketing projects * Manage brand
assets * Physical product assets including packaging and labels
* Digital content - Websites and Ecommerce brand presence and
communications, Social Media content, and Newsletter
* Product photography for retail, digital shelf, and sales
materials
* Sales and trade show materials - brochure, sell sheets, and
program slides *QUALIFICATIONS: *
* Bachelor's Degree, concentration in Marketing preferred
* 5+ years' marketing experience, preferably within the natural
products space or relevant food CPG marketing role
* Love of Organic, Fair Trade & sustainable foods
* Capability to proactively build marketing strategies and
execution plans and an enthusiasm for data analysis, customer,
omni-channel, and consumer insights
* Intellectual curiosity and an appetite to continuously improve
and learn (growth mindset) together within a team
* Strong communication, interpersonal and project management
skills
* Ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative
cross-functional environment with a winning customer service
attitude
* Basic design skills - images and video (i.e., Adobe illustrator,
Photoshop, Canva, Spark)* Microsoft Office skills, most preferably
PowerPoint and Excel, ability to learn and navigate new software
and social platforms and/or tools (i.e., Google Analytics, Facebook
Ads Manager, MailChimp, and SharePoint)
