Reporting to the Director, Corporate Citizenship, the Program Manager, Reputation is a strategic thinker with primary responsibility for driving the key research and intelligence used to inform Blue Shield's reputation management. Based in Oakland, He/She/They will operate cross-functionally with many different departments within the company, most frequently with Communications (external and internal), Brand, and Government Affairs. This is a visible and collaborative role with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization, requiring the incumbent to have a background in data analytics, communications, project management and a strong understanding of the company's business strategy. Your Work In this role, you will: Shape and advance Blue Shield's reputation strategy, with a clear focus on engaging internal and external partners and influencers to enhance the ways Blue Shield is perceived Deliver reputation data, analysis, and insights from RepTrak surveys and other research to implement effective communication and programmatic strategies that enhance the company's overall reputation Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in Communications and Brand to effectively support message development and implementation to ensure the reputation messaging is consistent across all communication channels and touchpoints Support the company's awards program and tactics involved in evaluating and pursuing awards opportunities aligned with Blue Shield's top reputation drivers Responsible for developing quarterly reputation updates and presentations to internal partners and senior leadership Support the reputation and communications teams in placing leaders on non-profit boards throughout the state. This includes supporting the on-ramping, payment of dues, and maintenance of board engagements for senior leaders Your Knowledge and Experience Possesses a bachelor's degree with at least five (5) years of relevant cross-functional, cross disciplinary experience or an equivalent of education and experience Leverage market, external, and industry insights to identify opportunities, make strategic recommendations, and inform strategy development. Develop highly professional content-driven assets like decks, documents, spreadsheets, etc. to communicate & support findings Strong background in data analytics and project management Superior written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation and facilitation skills to build support and sponsorship of initiatives and collaboration among stakeholders Demonstrates ability to build rapport with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders by genuinely listening to and understanding their perspectives Excellent external networking and presentation skills, including the aptitude to actively identify appropriate opportunities to share key messages with appropriate constituent groups Ability to work independently and take ownership of project with a positive attitude and commitment to their work Driven to deliver results while balancing conceptual vision with tangible accomplishments.
