Reporting to the assigned Cluster Director or the Department
Manager, the Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day
operations for assigned unit. This position works with other
leadership staff to develop the annual capital and operating
budget, supervise/manage staff and implement programs that reflect
current needs and anticipated changes/expansion of services for the

a. Participates in the preparation and implementation of the unit
Quality Improvement (QI) plan to address all regulatory
requirements and important aspects of patient care outcomes.
b. Reviews quarterly QI reports and implements strategies to ensure
that improvement in patient care occurs.
c. Maintains records of systems problems/ issues with corrective
actions demonstrating positive outcomes and interdepartmental
d. Ensures that shift employees meet licensing board, state health,
JCAHO and OSHA regulations and that all violations are
e. Investigates accidental injury reports to identify potential
unsafe working conditions and/or practices and ensures
implementation of corrective action.

BSN required; Masters Degree in health administration, management,
or related field preferred. Current California RN license.
English( Speak, Read, Write )
3 5 years previous related department experience.
Basic proficiency with computer systems (word processing and
CQI team experience.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Effective verbal and written skills.
In good physical condition to meet the demands of an active
position, including extensive walking, moderate sitting, standing,
stooping and lifting.
Must have good hand dexterity.
Capable of maintaining safe practice in handling needles.
1 year leadership experience (i.e. charge nurse).
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree
