Job Description:
The Retail Assistant Manager (supervisor) is accountable for the
successful day to day operations of the store. The Retail Assistant
Manager supervises the store team members, training, ensures
communication between all levels of the organization, maintains a
clean and well organized facility, and develops and implements
store protocols to optimize efficiency in all areas of
operation.The ideal candidate has 1+ years in retail management,
and/or administrative management. Previous experience is highly
preferred. Theymust have strong administrative and organizational
skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong
computer skills, and a working knowledge of the retail industry.We

incumbent.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Trains, manages, and disciplines staff as needed
- Hold team accountable for their performance; provide coaching
and counseling as needed
- Assists Manager in creating weekly schedule for the store
within budgeted hours
- Assigns work to team members ensuring a balance of work between
team members
- Ensure team provides fast, friendly, and accurate service
- Helpresolve employee issues and disputes
- Resolve any customer complaints, customer resolution
- Creates and maintains procedures for store operations
- Maintains, and enforces all company policies and
procedures
- Manages store supplies and places appropriate orders with
vendors
- Provides administrative assistance as needed (file reports,
damaged and lost packageclaims, etc)
- Attends all meetings, trainings, and educational classes as
required
- Follows all company policies, procedures, and business ethics
codes
- Performs other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience preferred
- Experience in supervising and managing staff
- Working knowledge of the industry
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with
customers, vendors, and staff
- Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage
time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced
environment
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving
skills, including the ability to maintain composure under
stress
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Highly professional and dependable
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word,
Excel, Outlook, Publisher), Adobe Illustrator/Indesign and the
internet
- Experienced with business applications, including payroll,
scheduling, and accounting software
- Completeall on line and in class Certified Operator Training
and Print training within 90 days of assumption of position;
- Complete an in person training for Certified Operator Training
course in San Francisco and Print course at managements
discretion
- Must be able to qualify for, acquire and maintain a Notary
License
- Willing to accept full accountability for center
operationsPhysical requirements
- May involve lifting up to 50 pounds or more
- Will involve standing for extended periods of time, walking,
reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting, stooping
and going up and down stairs or ladders in the performance of daily
activities.
