The Aircraft Program Manager (APM) role is designed to enhance the overall management of the aircraft maintenance and technical support program and to serve as part of the growth and development plan for the function. This role is responsible for ensuring company aircraft are airworthy, placing the safety of passengers and crew as priority and participates in the Safety Management System. While this role will be tactical in nature, it will complement the strategic initiatives outlined by the DOM and VP, Aviation. In addition, the Aircraft Program Manager will supervise on site Aircraft Technicians and drive team engagement through the adoption of the Visa Leadership Principles.Essential Functions

  • Acts as a Maintenance Technician.
  • Manages and complies with all maintenance requirements and activities of Visa Aviation aircraft through MYCMP or CAMP.
  • Prepare annual aircraft maintenance budget to include OPEX and CAPEX recommendations.

  • Strong avionics and systems expertise with supporting credentials.
  • NCATT Certification - Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) with related endorsements (Autonomous Navigation Systems, Dependent Navigation Systems, Onboard Communication and Safety Systems, Radio Communication Systems)
  • Fully engaged with industry and aircraft technical advancements.
  • Advance technical training on aircraft operated by the Company, i.e. FSI - Master Technician
  • Proficient with the use of technology and computer skills to include business applications and Computerized Maintenance Programs (CMP and CAMP).
  • Helps to manage Develops and advises on all Flight Department maintenance policies and procedures
  • Through industry benchmarking on best practices, establishes maintenance safety policies and procedures for ground operations and evaluates effectiveness via the Safety Management System
  • Leveraging aircraft downtime and service center availability, implements yearly maintenance plans in compliance with OEM requirements
  • Manages unscheduled maintenance events focusing on safety, minimizing downtime, organizing return to service (RTS) requirements and test flights
  • Reviews maintenance visit invoices and work orders for accuracy and alignment with work scope
  • Coordinates with regulatory agencies on maintenance topics including Letters of Authorization (LOAs)
  • Coordinates with all non-company personnel or Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMOs) performing maintenance on Visa Aviation aircraft
  • Establishes and maintains aircraft maintenance records required by FAA regulations, manufacturer recommendations, company policy
  • Researches and ensures compliance with Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins through a proactive effort of minimizing impact
  • Removes unsafe and non-compliant aircraft from service with reports to DOM, Chief Pilot and VP, Aviation
  • Ensures calibration of test equipment and tools through delegation and communication with direct reports
  • Through delegation to direct reports, ensures that products, parts, supplies, and consumables meet the specifications and requirements set forth by the manufacturer and that necessary amounts of these items are maintained.
  • Monitors expiration dates for Aircraft parts, aircraft and hangar consumable supplies, first aid kits, automatic external defibrillators, and other applicable survival emergency equipment
  • Reviews and updates emergency and survival equipment and aircraft spare parts list on an annual basis and or as equipment, parts and contents change
  • Maintains a current technical library and distributes new information as appropriate
  • Assumes duties delegated by the DOM
  • Develops and fosters a strong relationship across all OEM technical servicesThis is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs. Basic Qualifications
    - 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
    - FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
    - 10 years aviation experience
    - Documented leadership experience and people management
    - Continuing education in aviation maintenance through accredited schools or manufacturers training programs required
    - 5 years Aviation experience managing multi OEM fleets
    - Experience with managing OEM Customer relationships
    - Previous involvement with new aircraft Entry into Service and change management
    - Demonstrated effective communications to include written and verbal
    - Expert skills in decision-making and building partnerships internally and externally
    - Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate and build cross-functional relationships - Work with all levels of personnel and effectively interact with senior and executive management.
    - Excellent planning and organization skills and business judgment, including the ability to anticipate the impact of decisions and initiatives
    - Ability to drive continuous improvement activities to exceed customer expectations and help promote a professional organization
    Ability to work a flexible schedule - may include nights, weekends, and holidays.


    Preferred Qualifications
    - 12 or more years aviation leadership experience
    - College degree
    - Broad knowledge of, and experience with, Gulfstream and Falcon Jet aircraft Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.Visa is an EEO Employer.
