Job Description:
Summary
AC Transit is seeking a Finance Systems Project Manager. Under
general direction serves as the project manager leading a variety
of complex, finance systems-related projects. This position works
with department end-users, Innovation and Technology (IT) staff,
consultants and, vendors to translate business and operational
requirements into workable finance system solutions. Incumbents in
this position provide training and technical assistance in the use
of the system software.
This classification is distinguished from other finance
classifications by the assigned project management responsibilities
leading District-wide, finance systems-related projects and studies
of considerable size and complexity. Incumbents at this level are
expected to operate with a high degree of professional judgment and
independence, providing technical and functional direction to
vendors, professional, technical, and contract staff.

REPRESENTATIVE FUNCTIONS may include but are not limited to the
following:
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited
four-year college or university in a field directly related to the
area to which assigned.
For the Finance Systems Project Manager position the following are
applicable fields of study: business administration, public
administration, accounting, finance, management information
systems, or a related field.
Experience: Eight (8) years of experience in the professional field
required by the assigned special projects. The Finance Systems
Project Manager position requires accounting support experience
utilizing and supporting financial systems and/or two (2) years
that involved responsibilities at a level equivalent to the
District's classification of Project Manager II. Years of
experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a
two for one basis (two years experience may be submitted for one
year of education).
Additional Information
Physical Requirements: Must maintain the physical condition
necessary to perform tasks in an office setting operating a
computer, keyboard, and other peripheral equipment; safely drive a
District automobile; and walk, stand, and climb short distances in
construction settings in order to inspect the progress of assigned
projects.
