• 8 years of experience in software development with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
• 5 years in a technical leadership role overseeing projects and managing teams.
• Experience with flash storage, systems software, kernel drivers, and hardware server platforms.Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience working with vendors and standards bodies.
  • Experience with ASIC development and lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with SSDs, embedded software, storage subsystems, and protocols like NVMe, Fibre Channel, SCSI.About the RoleAs a Software Engineering Manager at Google, you will provide technical leadership for major projects and manage a team of engineers. You will oversee project goals, contribute to product strategy, and develop your team.     • Collaborate with internal and external partners to onboard storage systems and strategize portfolio development.
    • Lead evaluation and development of new storage technologies and management solutions.
    • Manage and mentor a team of SSD storage software engineers and managers.
