Job DescriptionAs the head of Business Development, you will report to the SVP Business and Corporate Development and manage a global team of Business Development and Relationship Managers who are responsible for all types of partnerships with Turnitin including sell to and through channels, ISV's and technology partners who both provide services to Turnitin or consume services from Turnitin. This unique role gives you the chance to work with our most valuable customers and partners and collaborate with Sales leadership to optimize go to market strategy for each market. You will support the development and execution of new business and sales activities by meeting with prospective partners and developing the right relationship and pricing strategy for each. These are not "price list" deals but complex, custom negotiations. You also get to work closely with the Product organization to support Buy/Build/Partner decisions as we expand our portfolio. Everyday You'll Get To Manage a go to market team. Business Development representatives looking for new partner business and maintaining a growing revenue stream from these key partner customers.Partner Relationship managers who work with integration partners and referral partners to maintain good co-selling relationships with others in the education ecosystem of our joint customers. These are often LMS, Assessment and content providers.Content partner managers who work with the many publishers and content providers who protect their intellectual property by allowing Turnitin to include their published works and content in our comparison repository.Marketing manager who develops strategies, assets and campaigns specific to the partner development process.Work With The Most Interesting Partners And CustomersMeeting regularly with key partners, maintaining strong executive relationships and understanding their strategic goals and objectivesCreatively structuring deals that maximize partner satisfaction and minimize channel conflict Contributing to the development of marketing and product strategy based on partner inputGathering competitive insights to inform positioning, marketing, and solution QualificationsHas a bachelor's degree or related work experience; advanced degree is a plusHas 10+ years of experience in sales or partner account management or business developmentHas experience in the education industry (preferably Higher Ed). Bonus points for past experience selling to and through publishers, LMS providers, assessment providers and for experience working internationally given the global nature of this role.Has managed sales and/or relationship managersHas experience with complex deal developmentHas excellent customer service and client-facing skillsCan illustrate strong presentation skills and has a high level of comfort in front of clientsIs an independent self-starter with strong prioritization, project management, and coordination skills; excels in a fluid, cross-functional team environment. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to determine strategy.Can offer proactive solutions and ensure successful progression without guidance when necessaryIs willing to manage a distributed team in multiple time zonesSome travel required (- 40%)Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
