Provides direct patient care by effectively utilizing the nursing
process. Participates in patient and family teaching and
collaborates with multidisciplinary health care team members to
achieve quality patient outcomes and service excellence.
Current California RN license required
- BSN preferred
- BLS certified
A minimum of 3 years clinical RN experience in the specialty areas
of work, i.e., Med/Surg, Pediatrics, ICU
A minimum of 1 year Procedural RN experience i.e., GI, Cath Lab, IR
Comprehensive knowledge and proficiency with the use of
- EHR competent, 5 years resent exp with EPIC
Ability to plan, organize and direct the activities to others.
Ability to effectively communicate
Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
Evaluates daily staffing requirements and has the authority to make
necessary staffing adjustments to meet the department needs.
Communicates decision and rationale to Clinical Manager.
Coordinates assignments / activities involving chart audits, clinic
assignments and staff assignments on a daily basis.
Completes daily acuity input / daily facilitation report for all
Ensure staff assignment for lunch and breaks
Is proactive in identifying potential problems and consults with
Use chain of command in managing problematic situations
Act as a resource for temporary staff or other staff
Provides ongoing feedback to the Clinical Manager regarding staff
performance issues, unusual incidents and/or potential risk and
quality concerns, patient concerns and physician concerns.
