LifeLong Medical Care has an exciting opportunity for a family medicine physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant with leadership experience to provide clinical oversight of our Ashby Health Center located in Berkeley, CA. The center offers full-scope primary care, including pediatric, prenatal, adult medicine, psychiatry, and other behavioral health services to a diverse, complex patient population. The AMD is responsible for providing high-quality primary care, building collaborative teams, and working with underserved populations. Primary Care Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant with Administrative experience and a passion for developing and participating in a team model of care for a complex population.About us:As a Federally Qualified Health Center in Northern California with over 45 years of dedicated service to the community, LifeLong serves over 66,000 patients in the East Bay Area's socio-economically underserved regions. We provide medical, dental, behavioral health, and school-based services at more than 15 primary care sites across Oakland, Berkeley, and West Contra Costa County. From opening a residential respite program for homeless persons discharged from hospitals to offering free COVID testing to the community, we are innovative and responsive to our times' social and medical needs. If you seek accommodation, please advise in writing when you apply.Benefits:We offer a competitive annual salary of $207,000-$228,000 for MD/DO, $133,000-$154,000 depending on years since licensed, and excellent benefits: medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, dependent and domestic partner coverage, 403(b) retirement savings plan, and loan repayment programs, and commuter benefits. LifeLong is qualified for federal and state loan repayment programs (HPSA score is 21). Acceptance rates may vary year to year based on funding levels and the number of applicants.   • Pediatricians are committed to high-quality primary care in a multi-disciplinary setting. Strong interest in caring for a diverse patient population, assuring clinical quality, well-baby exams, treatment for acute illness, and collaboration with experienced Associate Medical Directors. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, communicate and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team. Several site Pediatrician opportunities for full time and part-time, located in Richmond and San Pablo clinic sitesQualifications
    • Current California MD license; specialty training in pediatrics with Board certification
    • Electronic Medical Record - Epic
    • Commitment to a community health philosophy of prevention and primary care
    • Ability to communicate effectively and work with individuals from a wide variety of ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds; sensitivity to their health problems
    • Spanish language capability is an asset.Education & Experience Work experience in the following areas:
      • Community-based health organization working in a multi-disciplinary clinical team
      • Providing medical care for the urban indigent and populations with complex disabilities.
      • Performing clinical supervision to providers from multiple disciplines and experience, teaching and supervising medical students and residents.
      • Demonstrated leadership in a healthcare setting
