Locum Tenens - Interventional RadiologistLocation: Grass Valley, CAFacility: General Acute Care HospitalDates: June 9-13, 2025Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (No Call)Weekends Required: YesEMR: CernerClinical Details

• Setting: Stroke-certified hospital (not a Trauma Center or Chest Pain Center)
• Duties Include:
  • IR procedures
  • Stroke CTs
  • General hospital radiology needs
  • Expected Daily Volume:
    • 50 studies/day
    • 5-8 procedures/day
    • CTs: 15-20
    • X-Rays: 15-20
    • Ultrasounds: 10
    • MRIs: 5
    • IR Procedures: 5-8
    • Typical Cases:
      • Surgical, Medical, ICU, OB
      • ED Volume: 85-90 patients/day
      • Inpatient/Obs Census: 50/day
      • Required Procedures:
        • Thoracentesis, Paracentesis
        • Nephrostomy tubes, Intra-abdominal abscess drainage
        • Chest tubes, Suprapubic catheters
        • CT/US Biopsies (Thyroid, Lung, Other)
        • Barium studies, Lumbar punctures
        • Support: Diagnostic Imaging RNs & Techs + Sacramento-based radiology group for overflow/after-hours reads
        • Reason for Need: Radiologist resignationCandidate Requirements
          • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology - Required
          • Active California Medical License - Required
          • California Fluoroscopy Certification - Required at submission
          • DEA & BLS Certification - Required
          • Residency Training in Radiology - Required
          • Fellowship: Not required
