The nurse will work in a Hematology/Oncology clinic supporting pediatric patients. The role includes reviewing and preparing for upcoming clinic visits. Responsibilities also include triaging calls and managing email communications with team members. Candidates should have experience with accessing and managing ports. The role involves the administration of blood and blood products. Experience in outpatient oncology care coordination is necessary. Skills in phlebotomy, central line care, and starting and maintaining IVs are required. Strong patient and family education and support skills are critical for this position. The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapy and social services.
