ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Oakland, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • 3 years of RN ICU experience required • 6 months travel experience required • Patient ratio experience of 2:1 • Weekend requirements include every other weekend and as needed based on unit needs • On-call availability as needed • May float to other units within scope of practice and to Ashby or Herrick Campus based on need/census • 1.5 hours notice provided prior to shift start time for floating assignments with shuttle service available • 48 hours of orientation required • Epic charting system experience required • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, CA RN License (all AHA certified) • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing • 7-year work history verification required • Care for adult patients with diagnoses including sepsis, AKI, respiratory failure, STEMI, heart failure, stroke, surgical cases, kidney failure, cardiogenic shock, substance abuse, and DKA • Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure and ECMO • Perform specialized procedures including arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, and cardiac monitoring • Work with special equipment including NXT Stage CRRT, EKOS, ventilators, IABP, and Impella devices • Handle open heart procedures, VAT, thoracotomy, and TAVR cases • Complete non-billable modules during orientation averaging 1-5 hours Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 24-bed ICU with a daily census of 16-20 patients, providing comprehensive critical care services.
