Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in California requiring a current CA RN license and strong ICU background. Responsibilities - Work in the ICU of a hospital setting - Day shift schedule with 4x8 hour shifts from 07:00 to 15:30 - Weekend shifts required every other weekend and as needed by the unit - On-call shifts assigned as needed - May float to other units or campuses within scope of practice based on facility needs - A shuttle is provided for floating to other campuses - Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience preferred - Initial orientation and required modules are completed via e-learning, with modules typically taking 1 to 5 hours - Team structure supports flexibility with floating between ICU and other units - Return staff must have a separation of at least one year before returning as a traveler - Only one holiday request for time off will be approved during the assignment - Candidates must be available to complete required lab work within 3-5 days of signing - Local candidates are accepted at a local pay rate Requirements - Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration - Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS in hand - Minimum of 3 years recent RN ICU experience - At least 6 months prior travel experience required - Must be willing to float within the hospital and to alternate campuses - Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel status Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-665123.
