Job Description:
Job Summary: Partners with organizational leadership at all
levels, facilitating the delivery of human resources programs and
services to support the organizations business objectives and
overall strategic plan. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: The
following are the duties performed by employees in this
classification, however, employees may perform other related duties
at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily
performed by each individual in the classification.
- Collaborates with leadership to install and maintain
company-wide initiatives including performance management,
workforce planning and change management etc.
- Contributes to informed decision making to identify trends and
work with business leaders to determine root cause of issues;
develops organizational effectiveness solutions; facilitates
individual, team and leadership interventions.
- Partners with management teams of assigned client groups;
supports assigned client groups in the achievement of its
people-related objectives for employee performance and
satisfaction, labor costs projections, talent development etc.
- Identifies trends across the business groups and recommends
appropriate action; acts as a conduit for the client groups needs
as well as for HR programs and processes for business
effectiveness; partners with other HR staff to research and share
best practices.
- Recommends strategies, provides group and one-on-one coaching
with leadership to support leadership development, business
decision-making, human resources management, problem solving and
performance management.
- Supports assigned client groups; provides advice and counsel to
leadership regarding: effectiveness of staff, application of human
resource practices, policies and procedures; communicates with
leadership of bargaining units regarding contract interpretation,
policy interpretation and compliance application, and
administration of collective bargaining agreements, compliance with
employment regulations and laws and resolution of complaints and
grievances;.
- Supports leadership in the areas of coaching/counseling, PIP
review and delivery for performance issues (including reduction in
force) for unrepresented staff; investigate claims of sexual
harassment, bullying and discrimination.
- Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Any
combination of education and experience that would likely provide
the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession
of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying. Required
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business
Administration or related field. Required Experience: Five years
experience as a subject matter expert within a Human Resources
environment.Preferred Experience: Experience in employee relations,
business consulting; experience within a union environment,
Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Professional In Human Resources
(PHR) certification.
