Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data and Analytics Engagement team, the role of the Technology Engagement Specialist, Senior is critical to the success of Blue Shield of California and the Data and Analytics Organization in realizing its goals and objectives. This individual will play a key role as part of the Engagement team in delivering and collaborating on all aspects of intake and engagement processes.



Responsibilities:

Contribute and support in Intake engagement, resource & cost estimation
Support strategic and operational activities, maintain work inventory, follow up with initiative leaders for status updates/risk management
Publish and maintain Strategic and operational initiative dashboards and management reporting
Facilitate weekly internal reviews and updates with Data and Analytics teams for intake activities
Facilitate Unified Design Review Committee (UDRC) forum, track decisions, schedule and publish agenda, manage communications
Support vendor contract management activities, track work order inventory and status (cost, start date, end dates, execution status), follow-up with vendors for estimation submissions
Partner with IT Sourcing to ensure timely processing. Expedite if outside SLAs. Triage follow-up questions
identify and communicate resource capacity constraints to Engagement Manager and D&A delivery teams
Research and respond timely and accurately to requests for explanation or for more detail
Create and maintain/update associated workflows and documentation
Identify opportunities to automate/digitize processes
Assist in identifying risks, and communicate risks to management
Execute upon timely and accurate reporting responsibilities
Other duties as assigned



Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess strong analysis, organization, and facilitation skills, combined with highly effective interpersonal and communication skills. Results orientation and attention to detail. Strong working knowledge of the healthcare industry Data and Analytics is required. Additionally, the candidate should possess the skills and expertise necessary to:
Work cross functionally across the Data and Analytics organization with all levels of leadership, employees, contractors, and consultants
Strong ability to understand, analyze, and prioritize multiple, competing priorities

Requirements:

5 years combined experience:
Strong creative and critical thinking, problem solving, planning, time-management and organization skills to balance and prioritize work.



Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.

Strong independent judgment and initiative in problem resolution.

In-depth understanding of technology solutions for function, including specific experience with chosen solution at BSC TBM/Apptio, Concur, Puridiom, Planview and Service Market Place/ServiceNow
And/or in-depth understanding and proven expertise/experience in process design methodology, tools, and techniques.
And/or in-depth operational expertise in process methodology and improvement at BSC.
Possess the process knowledge and people skills to complete accurate assignments and communicate results.
Focus on successful execution/delivery of outcomes, and maintain track record for driving change, delivering business value, and meeting commitments.
Knowledge of Blue Shield of California (BSC) or prior healthcare payer experience preferred

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel a must.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Education/Credentials:

Bachelors degree or equivalent in progress, emphasis on Management Information Systems (MIS) preferred.
