SUMMARY: Under general direction, the Information Systems Administrator supports the various configurations, reporting, and support functions for the Materials Management Department at Alameda Health System. Performs related duties as required.RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.Acts as assigned departmental liaison between vendors, the Information Services department, Materials Management, Finance, Patient Accounting, and other departments.Coordinates with various staff to assure that all appropriate supply items are represented in the Item Master file.Performs quality audits related to informatics system documentation as assigned.Provides on-going day-to-day support of assigned Information System application, including database management, user training and report generation.Responsible to test, track and monitor the system data for accuracy, quality, and reliability.Tracks all system support issues, including issues with GE, all third-party vendors and the hospital IS department. Utilizes all modules of the assigned Information System application and system environment, as applicable.Functions as first response to support and troubleshoot minor technical and end-user LAWSON issues.Responsible for departmental testing of new software releases and patches to be installed to the Materials Management software.Acts as Materials Management System Administrator for Materials Management modules within LAWSON.Supports other software utilized by Materials Management that interfaces with LAWSON.Creates ad hoc reports on as requested basis utilizing MS Excel Add-Ins, Crystal Reports, or comparable report writing software or utilizing direct database connections (ODBC, OLE DB, etc.)Runs various reports and take appropriate action related to supporting fiscal activities (e.g. Year-end Inventory, Month-End Close, Budgeting, and Performance metrics).Performs other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.Minimum Experience: Three to five years of full-time or its equivalent experience in a hospital, clinic, or community wellness or preventive health program.Preferred Experience: Previous experience with Information Systems or employment within a public health agency is preferred.Highland General HospitalMaterials ManagementFull TimeDayAdmin, Business & Clinical SupportFTE: 1
