Your Role
The Self-funded Billing Platform team is re-imagining our billing platform and leading the transformation of the healthcare industry. The Product Manager will report to the Solution Delivery Lead. In this role you will leverage your expertise in Product Management and Self-Funded Billing experiences to articulate a compelling vision for the future of Billing platform and automation. You will partner with various stakeholders to refine and execute against the roadmap, initially focusing on high profile projects central to the Self-funded. You will work with the Senior Product leadership to define the short-term and long-term product roadmap. You will work with cross functional teams in a fast paced, agile environment and will be responsible for managing product development deliverables such as requirements documentation, analytics, design reviews, implementation, and delivery.
Your Work
In this role, you will:

  • Define and implement the short-term roadmap and long-term engagement model for executing on Self-funded Billing Platform
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, including engineers, designers, and business stakeholders, in a fast paced, agile environment and be responsible for conception, design, development, delivery, maintenance, and evolution of the customer experience including translating business and user needs into product features
  • Review, analyze, collect, and take action on qualitative and quantitative findings from user testing and additional customer feedback loops including google analytics, performance monitoring, etc.
  • Write and breakdown epics independently; Write and review detailed user stories and acceptance criteria covering multiple user-types
  • Utilize product management tools to create, manage, and prioritize agile team backlog
  • Ensure key personas are identified, created, developed, and utilized effectively for multiple product areas and mentor team when needed
  • Mentor, understand, and drive User Experience (UX) research and design to craft high-quality, engaging user experiences
  • Exhibit natural and intuitive user empathy
  • Participate and engage in agile ceremonies; facilitate those required for product artifacts as they support product outcomes
  • Demonstrate high-level understanding of technical concepts and architectural impact
  • Perform as a product area SME to educate others of product
  • Lead partner and stakeholder collaboration sessions; hold appropriate product context
  • Partner with executive stakeholders to ensure delivery of the aligned product outcomes
  • Perform market research working with Enterprise Architecture, Product owners and Portfolio stakeholders to identify growth opportunities
  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
  • Be the voice of self-funded customer for Enterprise Initiatives
  • Analyze consumer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from a build vs. buy perspective
  • Appraise new product services ideas and strategize appropriate to-market plans
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the product offering
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
    Your Knowledge and Experience
    • Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, public health, or information technology
    • Requires at least 8 years of experience in product management consulting or entrepreneurship
    • A customer-first mindset and relentless drive to deliver products that address clients (members & employer groups) pain points and drive delightful experience.
    • A history of defining and driving outcomes through the launch of customer-facing digital experiences on web and mobile platforms
    • Experience managing product development deliverables such as requirements documentation, analytics, design reviews, implementation, and delivery
    • Ability to lead implementation of key cross-channel, consumer-facing initiatives, informed by customer needs and industry trends, and develop data-driven product deliverables with relevant measurable KPIs
    • Coordinating with a diverse set of stakeholders in the process to align with product vision
    • Understanding of and experience working with web and mobile technology in the context of enterprise architecture and infrastructure to provide competitive advantage for product development, brand management, and customer experience.
    • Experience using quantitative and qualitative data to identify needs and transform them into product features
    • Ability to partner with analytics team to define critical KPIs, understand what the data means, and integrate it into your reporting and planning
    • Strategic thinker and problem solver with hands-on, 'roll up your sleeves' can-do attitude
    • Writing thorough and thoughtful user stories that take member experience, business requirements, visual design and analytics into consideration while owning and managing product backlog for assigned product(s)
    • The ability to partner and communicate across the organization with key stakeholders and external business partners
    • Mobile application experience is a plus
    • Ability to drive results independently, ability to learn quickly but thrive in a collaborative agile environment
    • Obsession with details while never losing sight of the bigger picture
    • Innate curiosity and learning disposition coupled with the ability to embrace change
    • HealthCare, Financial Services, Tech or Retail experience
    • Design thinking experience
    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
    • Developing the core positioning and messaging for the product
    • Bringing evidence-based decision-making to your communication
