Requisition ID# 143024Job Category: Information TechnologyJob Level: Individual ContributorBusiness Unit: Information TechnologyWork Type: HybridJob Location: OaklandDepartment OverviewInformation Technology is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively in order to deliver high quality technology solutions.Position SummaryThis position is for the Expert Programmer Analyst for the Web Applications supporting Asset and Work Management Team and will be the lead technical subject matter expert for Engage, Locate and Viewer applications using the React framework.The Expert Programmer Analyst leads analysis and development of initiatives in the User Web based tools that are critical components of Mobile products like Inspect, Construct and Locate & Mark.Designs, develops, modifies, configures, debugs and evaluates application programs for functional business areas. Analyzes existing applications and systems and formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, logical database design, performs coding and tests/debugs programs. Consults with business analysts and architects to understand, anticipate, and meet current and future business needs. Modifies and configures applications/systems as specified in the requirements and/or technical design document. Prepares and obtains approval of system and development documentation. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.A reasonable salary range is:Bay Area Minimum: $118,000.00Bay Area Mid-point: $153,000.00Bay Area Maximum: $188,000.00&/ORCalifornia Minimum: $112,000.00California Mid-point: $145,000.00California Maximum: $179,000.00This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned location based on business need.Job Responsibilities

• Regularly called on to apply creativity or new approaches to technical assignments that may be unique. May lead others on technically complex projects or work. Solid understanding of the impact to all application areas of systems/sub- systems modifications and enhancements; understands impact to business; has broad, over-arching understanding of impact to IT. Leads teams of programmer-analysts and contractors.
• Regularly represents team client meetings. Collaborates with Product Owner and Scrum Master on complex large project timelines, identifying critical path, resource assignments, risks, and dependencies.
• Provides guidance to less experienced programmer and is team lead on cross- functional projects and initiatives. Provides guidance to non-employee partners on the Web Development implementation and standards.
• Resolves application development problems of complex scope through cross-functional team participation
• Serves as key technical resource with areas of specialization.
• The incumbent determines methods and procedures on new assignments with accepted technical guidelines and company policies/procedures.
• Provides broad cross-functional and technological expertise. Assignments are broad and complex, have major associated risks with high visibility, and can be sensitive or widely varied requiring expert judgment in applying and adapting techniques. Collaborates and establishes existing Application Development Frameworks and Coding standard. Support governance of development standards and frameworks. Responsible for larger initiatives such as transitioning to new technologies. Full understanding of combined technical, business, and processes areas. Advanced and full knowledge of business requirements; translates complex business language to functional and technical designs. Solid understanding of PG&E Delivery Method and compliance processes and impact to client projects. May recommend and implement process improvements to methodology and compliance processes. Applies significant technical concepts of subject area and procedures and techniques; ability to use and define technical details of assigned work. Serves as key technical resource with areas of specialization.
• Stays up to date on the latest advancements in web application frameworks and modern best practices and drives innovation on existing webapps.
• Ensures the industry standard security best practices are followed. Advise on area that could be improved.QualificationsMinimum:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in programming analysis, 7 years
  • Technical Experience in React, Recompose, CSS, GraphQL, nodeJS
  • Proven knowledge with programming principals to enhance system performance
  • Experience with a cloud provider and cloud concepts
  • Experience with at-least one application monitoring tool Desired:
    • Graduate Degree or equivalent experience
    • Working experience with AWS (Basic) (S3, ECS, CodePipeline/Build, API-Gateway, CloudFront, SQS, CloudWatch, iAM)
    • Leadership experience, development teams
    • Gremlin (query language)
    • Docker (Basic)
    • MacOS or Linux command line basics
    • Jira/Confluence or Scrum/Wiki basics
    • Experienced with CI/CD pipeline and DevSecOps practices
    • Ability to troubleshoot coding and application errors.
