Overview The Procurement organization is the functional lead for
the procurement of materials and services at Pacific Gas and
Electric Company. The department collaborates with internal clients
and suppliers managing more than $12 billion of annual company
spend to develop mutually beneficial total value solutions for
goods and services. The department provides the following services
to internal clients: procurement of goods and services, strategic
sourcing and cost savings, category management, supplier
relationship management, execution and outreach, compliance
management, ongoing procurement field support and management of the
source to pay cycle. Position Summary The Principal Program Manager
oversees the implementation and operations of key programs at
PG&E. This role will help improve efficiencies, supplier
performance, communication, and collaboration. The Principal
Program Manager manages vendor relationships, provides direction to
external partners, and collaborates with internal teams to develop
and execute program strategies. Key responsibilities include
collaborating with colleagues across the organization to support
demand planning and develop category plans, helping develop LOB
strategies, and assisting with supplier management. This role works
closely with both the Line of Business (LOB), Strategic Sourcing,
and Materials. Strong collaboration with internal and external
stakeholders ensures continuous improvement and long-term program
success. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office
and our Oakland HQ. PG&E is providing the salary range that can
reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job
posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job.
The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple
factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific
skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market
value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a
case-by-case basis related to these factors. ? This job is also
eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive
compensation programs. Pay Range display: Bay Area – $140,000 to
$207,000 Reporting Relationship The Program Manager will report to
the Senior Director of Electric Transmission/Vegetation Management
Procurement. Job Responsibilities Recognized subject matter expert
who represents PG&E in regulatory and/or industry forums on
subject of expertise May manage major cross-functional projects and
initiatives. Leads development of program goals and metrics to meet
company goals and objectives. Collaborates across organization to
ensure alignment of goals to support program Responsible for
utilizing other departments and teams to meet program goals.
Organize and lead cross-utility project teams to influence utility,
regulatory and/or industry decisions Solves unique and complex
problems, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions.
Drives cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders in Finance,
IT, Operations, and Business Units to ensure procurement
initiatives align with enterprise priorities. Integrates industry
knowledge related to data into everyday business practices and
decision making Qualifications Minimum: 10 years of related
experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Desired: 10
years experience in procurement, supply chain, strategic program
management, or consulting roles Experience in an Enterprise Service
Delivery organization Master’s degree or equivalent experience in
business PMP Certification Change Management Certification (e.g.,
Prosci, ADKAR) Lean Six Sigma Certification Ability to use
understanding of the business to help drive strategic decision
making, and to recommend operational improvements Ability to
influence leaders inside and outside of the department through data
analysis, insights, and recommendations Ability to lead the largest
and most complex projects across Procurement Ability to create
compelling business cases based on complex business environments
and inputs Adept at addressing issues with diplomacy and tact
