Job Description Job Description Senior Metal Fabricator SF Metalworks Colusa, CA (On-Site) $33–$38/hour | 4-Day Work Week (Mon–Thurs, 5:00am–3:30pm) This is Not a Production Job. This is a Craft. At SF Metalworks, we fabricate high-end architectural metalwork that becomes the centerpiece of homes and commercial spaces — custom railings, wine rooms, furniture, doors, countertops, and statement pieces. This is not production-line welding. This is precision craftsmanship. We are seeking a Senior Metal Fabricator who can lead by example in the shop, solve problems independently, and take ownership of quality from layout through final finish. If you’re a seasoned fabricator who enjoys challenging builds and working with a tight-knit, creative team, you’ll fit right in. Ability to commute to Colusa, CA is required. Utilize and care for equipment in the shop. ? Determine relevant production equipment or methods based on project requirements. ? Operate machinery at production levels with little to no supervision. ? Maintain equipment in good condition in order to ensure productivity while not compromising safety. 2. Work with different kinds of metal alloys (including precious metals) in accordance with their unique properties. 3. Provide quality control, report errors, provide solutions to keep production flowing. ? Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws. ? Upon completion of assembly ensure product is free of any weld or dimensional defects as well as meets specified finish quality levels. ? Creatively solve challenges with team or individually as they arise to ensure that all customer requirements are met. What Makes You a Fit You Have: ? 5 years in architectural or fine metal fabrication ? Strong layout ability (not just welding skill) ? Confidence working independently ? TIG/MIG mastery ? Experience with stainless steel and aluminum (copper alloys preferred) ? Ability to read technical drawings and welding symbols without hesitation Bonus Experience: ? Bridgeport mill ?
