Description

Reporting to the Sr. VP and Chief Information Officer, the role of the VP, IT Shared Services is responsible for leading core IT shared service functions that are critical enablers of IT strong alignment between business and IT from strategy through delivery to maximize business impact on IT investments. This includes functional regression/integration testing, performance testing, automation and tools, software configuration management, release management and change management and IT audit/compliance.

The VP, IT Shared Services will work with IT senior leaders to define support needs based on the IT strategy. This includes developing a strategy and roadmap for functions under shared services, developing and implementing governance of enterprise release plans and change management plans, and forecasting IT resource demand and monitoring capacity to ensure IT can deliver on commitments.

Specific Duties:

Provides organizational leadership for overall IT Shared Services, including end-to-end quality engineering testing, software configuration, enterprise system change & release management, automation & tools management, and audit & compliance.

Drives strategies and execution for IT shared Services in collaboration with executive leadership across business portfolios and IT products.

Drives innovation to streamline improve on shared services across the enterprise.

Responsible for the overall quality validation and code management of solution delivery to production, and the automation of test, release and business functions.

Responsible for enterprise release governance and coordination, building release content and resolving release management dependencies with other organizational groups. Accountable for release execution, release performance metrics, and release process/policy improvements

Responsible for IT resource and demand management, including creating standards and tools for forecasting resource demand and managing resource capacity.

Responsible for the development and management of reporting tools and for the tracking and reporting of key performance metrics.

Leverage and maintain a deep knowledge on a broad range of technology solutions; and can select the most appropriate technology to support the business.

Responsible for driving enterprise efficiencies for administrative savings across the shared service functions.

Identifies and implements optimization across supported business functions to reduce technical debt and simplify the technology landscape.

Keeps up to date on external industry innovation and acceleration of the shared services function as it relates to the IT enterprise.

Qualifications Education/Credentials

Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, business or related field is required. MS or MBA is strongly preferred.

Minimum 10 years’ experience working in a mixed technology in/outsourced vendors to deliver large-scale technology solutions, in complex multi-layered environments. Good understanding of applications and infrastructure lifecycles.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

A successful track record of leading technology organizations through significant change. Ideally, the candidate will have significant corporate IT experience with broad and deep understanding for strategy and how to translate the implications for technology.

Proven senior IT management success in a large high demand environment that is customer centric (B2C), marketing driven and digitally dependent.

Demonstrated experience in leading teams and developing talent within a large organization.

Demonstrated experience in interacting with SVP and VP level executives across a business.

Proven ability to build strategic relationships and influence partners internally and externally.

Combination of strategic outlook and hands-on leadership focus.

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with an acute ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization and with external partners.

Self-motivated, enthusiastic and hard working.
