PRIMARY FUNCTION The Quality and Continual Improvement Manager
(QCIM) is a key change agent at our manufacturing facility. This
role drives process improvements across the organization. A
successful QCIM will identify and drive quality and business
process improvements. The QCIM will focus on leansix sigma
initiatives. This position is responsible for leading strategically
aligned, organizational-level change while training and mentoring
associates responsible for leading value-added departmental and
local change. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Be proactively involved
to prevent non-conforming product from reaching our Customers.
Apply a "hands on' approach to managing the Quality Management
System (QMS). Lead process improvement projects utilizing a Kaizen
Event approach. Lead and manage internal and external QMS audits.
Develop timelines, track progress, and manage projects to
completion (closed loop). Compile and present quarterly quality
management reviews. Develop and implement metrics to measure
performance. Analyze data to identify opportunities for
improvement. Collaborate with other teams to implement
improvements. Utilize change management methods to effect process
improvement. Train and mentor associates in the application of our
Quality System, Improvement System and Continuous Improvement
Methods. Collaborate with the Materials Team to manage and improve
supplier performance. Oversee the completion of Customer Compliance
and Audit documentation. EDUCATION CERTIFICATIONS BS degree in
Engineering required. Masters degree in Engineering or Management
preferred. WORK EXPERIENCE 5 years of experience in quality
engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership
position. Thorough understanding of multiple business processes
including Quality Assurance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales,
Engineering, Technology and Information Services and Customer
Service. SKILLS COMPETENCIES Strong organizational, planning and
communication skills necessary. Strong computer and office software
skills. Knowledge of warehouse and inventory practices and
procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven problem-solving capabilities. Action oriented personality.
Responds flexibly to shifting priorities or new demands. Commitment
to excellence and high standards. Ability to manage priorities and
workflow. Ability to make informed decisions easily and decisively.
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and
committees. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal
instructions. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to
effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various
backgrounds. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work
