IT Avalon is looking for a Master Visual Designer to join our healthcare client's team in Oakland, CA! This is a 9 month contract with opportunities to extend. Please note: This role will start out remotely due to COVID-19 until normal business resumes. Here's what our client has to say about the role: Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project: Provide additional visual design support to the UX team, specifically for Provider wave 3 project. Designers will also be tasked with evolving our style guide/design system and applying user-centered design principles to everything they do. Internal/External Groups with which the Candidate will interface with: IT Delivery Will this candidate interface with IT and business teams? If so, which ones? Yes, both How does this project impact the line of business or organization as a whole? Large and small initiatives that will impact our end users across multiple business units. Required Skills (top 3 to 5/ non-negotiables): What you like to see on resumes? (nice to have) 1. Communication skills 1. Created design systems/style guides 2. Has designed live, shipped products 2. Some knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript 3. Great eye for visual design and detail 3. Conceptual/art direction work 4. Knowledge in UX prototyping programs (Sketch, InVision, Figma) 4. Has work in a UX/UI environment 5. 5. Disqualifiers or Dislikes on Resumes: Poor design, typos, no UI work Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree or higher Required Testing: Software Skills Required: Sketch, InVision, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Office Required Certifications: - provided by Dice
