ABOUT THE CORAL REEF ALLIANCEThe Coral Reef Alliance (CORAL) is an environmental NGO that is on a mission to save the world's coral reefs. Founded in 1994, CORAL has a history of working collaboratively with communities to reduce direct threats to reefs. In parallel, CORAL is actively expanding the scientific understanding of how corals adapt to climate change and is applying this information to give reefs around the world the best chance to thrive for generations to come.The Development and Marketing Team comprises a Development Director, Associate Marketing Director, Senior Grants Manager, and Associate Development Manager. We are a nimble, highly organized and impactful team focused on raising individual, institutional, and corporate revenue for CORAL as well as driving awareness of CORAL's mission and elevating the organization into a new realm of brand recognition.Position DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time Development Coordinator to assist and advance our fundraising efforts. This individual will be responsible for: (1) managing the Salesforce database; (2) executing direct mail and email campaigns; (3) analyzing data to improve fundraising success; (4) building donor and revenue reports; (5) supporting the development of content for appeals, social media, and website; and (6) additional administrative support, as needed. The position reports to the Development Director and works in close partnership with the Development and Marketing, Finance, and Executive teams.Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail* Process donations in a timely and accurate manner-scan and enter checks, track online funding, and record soft credits* Manage the donor acknowledgement process, working with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate acceptance of gifts, and with the Executive Director and development team to personalize acknowledgements for major and VIP donors* Lead all database management activities affiliated with Salesforce including:-Oversight and maintenance of data integrity with regular system and application checks; preserve database according to prescribed standards and procedures-Recommend and document major data improvement projects to enforce consistency, streamline operations, improve data reporting, and otherwise support effective fundraising strategies-Provide CRM training to CORAL employees as needed to ensure accurate data entry and a cohesive user experience-Prepare monthly reports for reconciliation with Finance-Create and manage data dashboards to facilitate analysis and measure success-Manage relationship with several different vendors (Salesforce, Pardot, Click and Pledge, etc.) to ensure business continuity and operation success-Maintain data hygiene through data cleanup, merging duplicate records, etc-Create and maintain email marketing lists as needed for email campaigns and appeals and ensure integration with Pardot email marketing system* Manage the integration and functioning of the donation page on CORAL's website using the Click and Pledge platform* Conduct research into and produce profiles on prospective foundation, corporate, and individual donors* Provide administrative support for the Development Director and Executive Director as needed, including coordinating meeting and travel schedules, and drafting outreach emails* Track and analyze past fundraising efforts to inform future fundraising strategies* Coordinate and provide support for solicitations and direct mail and email campaigns together with the development and marketing team* Effectively articulate CORAL's mission, vision, and conservation priorities to prospects through in-person, telephone, and written communicationsMinimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education required* Two years of experience in a general office environment* Advanced experience in Salesforce, or equivalent CRM database such as Blackbaud/Raiser's Edge* Organized, detail-oriented, ability to manage competing priorities with a flair for creative problem solving* Capacity to handle multiple projects; set priorities, maintain flexibility, and meet deadlines* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Solid problem-solving, research, and analytic skills* Ability to take initiative and work independently* Dedicated team player with a customer-service approach and a good sense of humor* Demonstrated interest in fundraising and/or nonprofit management* Proficiency in PC and Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications: * Certified Salesforce Administrator preferred but not required* Proficiency and enthusiasm for data management and reporting* Proficiency with segmentation and email marketing platforms such as PardotPersonal Characteristics* A passion for CORAL's mission and values* Ability to think analytically and problem solve, combined with a willingness to ask questions and work collaboratively* Patience and exceptional listening skills* Energetic, hard-working, and a team player* Positive, enthusiastic, and professional image in representing CORAL, both internally and externally* Ability to work in a fast paced, ever evolving atmosphere* Discretion with confidential informationCOMPENSATION: Salary commensurate with experience.
