Compensation will be base plus monthly incentives.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Create and execute a clear sales strategy to attract new business to the Credit Union. Conduct consistent business development activities that drive new mortgage business. Identify opportunities to educate our membership, the community and real estate professionals around mortgage lending. Proactively identify and cultivate influencers (e.g., Realtors, mortgage brokers, financial advisors, etc.) with the goal of driving referrals for real estate lending.Originate complete and high-quality applications that meet regulatory and Credit Union requirements. Set clear expectations with applicant around process to ensure an outstanding member experience to increase referrals. Obtain and analyze financial statements and credit data. Deliver accurate and timely information to members. Understand and own the rate lock process to ensure transparency for our members and profitable loans for the membership. Transact business in accordance with state and federal regulations such as, but not limited to, RESPA, HMDA, Fair Lending Practices, and ECOA Maintain member service KPIs and internal SLAs, and adhere to production goalsMaintain a detailed and transparent pipeline of activities with Realtors and other influencers. Report activities regularly to management, both verbally and in writing.Maintain and expand knowledge base around mortgage products, guidelines, regulations, and the overall mortgage process. Stay current on trends and changes within the local real estate markets, as well as changing rules and regulations to both private and government-backed securities.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEand CERTIFICATION:3 to 5 years' related residential mortgage experience required.High school diploma, GED or equivalent.Applicant must have or be able to qualify for a license under the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:Strong understanding of Secondary Market products and guidelines.Ability to write effectively in English using correct spelling and grammar.Ability to speak clearly, tactfully, and effectively in English.Basic math skills including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages using a 10-key.Proficient in the use of basic applications in a Windows-based environment, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
