Job Description/Summary: The Post Graduate Psychology Fellowship program in the Behavioral Health Division is an intensive one-year training experience in a variety of specialized skills which may include assessment, child, parent-child or family psychotherapy, crisis intervention, parent-infant work, research, and/or pediatric psychology consultation-liaison at a level appropriate to the trainee#s skills and level of training. #The pediatric patient population served will be comprised of patients with behavioral health and/or medical conditions. #In this role, the Psychology Fellow will be exposed to a wide range of psychological, developmental, behavioral pediatrics and family systems issues in the context of a children#s health care system. # Under the supervision of fully licensed Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and/or Neuropsychologists this position will provide psychological services to complex patients through consultation, evaluation, and evidence-based interventions. # This position will consult with multi-disciplinary personnel in the hospital and external agencies, concerning the need for, evaluation of, and development of psychological, psychoeducational, school intervention, and neurocognitive services to enhance patient care. # Position Requirements: Minimum Education: A Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an accredited institution in clinical psychology. #Completion of APA approved internship, with specialization in clinical pediatric psychology. Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience with patients with a medical condition and their families, including but not limited to pre-doctoral and professional experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Board of Psychology regulations, DSM-V, Child Abuse Reporting laws, APA Ethical Principles of Psychologists. #Ability to work under pressure and to respond effectively to crises. #Demonstrate ability to provide appropriate psychological and neuropsychological care based on the needs of a specific individual, including children, adolescents, and young adult patients. Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of empirically-based mental health interventions.
