Overview:

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/our out of the laundry facility while maintaining high quality standards.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Inspects all materials for damage or excessive wear and properly reports findings to appropriate responsible person for resolution; removes one order at a time from trolley to perform seat seal or R.T.S.; move completed trolley to staging area for return to stock; ensure emblems are sewn straight; ensure proper names are sewn on garments; maintains safe and clean work environment and observes best practices in all production activities; other duties as assigned while attaining a minimum of 100% of the production standard for task for which production standards have been established; other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Exposure to productivity standards and tight deadlines; 2-4 years work experience in production or manufacturing, with primary focus on productivity and repetitive tasks; supports and participates in the company's production and quality standards with a continuous focus on customer service while maintaining a positive working relationship with others.

Ability to differentiate between colors; recognize and match numbers; distinguish between cotton and synthetics; ability to understand all required training, written and verbal instructions; good verbal and/or written communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to meet attendance schedule.

Working conditions:

Position involves repetitive motions over the duration of the entire shift; requires bending, reaching, pulling, twisting and lifting; requires the use of hands for grasping and other manipulations; requires stand/walking for long periods of time on concrete floors; work is performed in a warehouse setting and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold conditions as well as dust and noise.
