About this role:

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for a full range of administrative duties related to the successful execution of the departments outreach and marketing efforts, including but not limited to, the WCIRBs Learning Management System (LMS), the Education on Demand series as well as external-facing meetings and webinars. The incumbent will collaborate with internal subject matter experts and external resources to assist in developing marketing content and campaigns and will prepare reports and analysis that highlight critical metrics such as cost, sales and revenue against trends. The Marketing Coordinator works under general supervision where work is occasionally reviewed for accuracy and adherence to established procedures. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • System Administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS), Education on Demand series and webinars including customer service, purchase and billing inquiries, loading and maintenance of content.
  • Prepares marketing reports for CompEssentials revenue and cost, analyzes sales forecasts against trends, researches competitive products and makes recommendations to achieve annual product revenue growth. 
  • Coordinates all Continuing Education (CEU) activities required by the California Department of Insurance to ensure the WCIRB maintains its status as a licensed education provider.
  • Organizes, manages and promotes external-facing meetings and webinars hosted in support of WCIRB reports, research, and filings, including editing and posting video or presentation recordings as necessary.
  • Keeps promotional and educational content ready and accurate by coordinating requirements and creation with Outreach and Communication group teammates and WCIRB Subject Matter Experts.
  • Assists with  updating Customer Relationship Management (CRM) information for companies, contacts, data quality programs, committees and groups and managing users
  • Assists with tracking and analysis of customer feedback listening posts.
  • Assists with tracking and increased levels of member proxy voting and attendance at WCIRBs Governing Committees Annual Meeting.
  • Responds to general e-mail inquiries submitted to the training@wcirb.com mailbox
  • Assists in developing Social Media content and supports WCIRBs Social Media marketing. 
  • Proofs marketing and educational content for brand-alignment.
  • Creates and regularly updates Outreach and Communications procedures.
  • Performs regular review of documents in storage and archived electronically for compliance with WCIRB document retention policies.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests. Explores opportunities to add value to the department and organization. 

Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree (including courses in relevant areas such as communications, business administration, marketing, and communications) supplemented by courses and seminars in relevant subject matters and progressive work experience.
  • Two to three years of experience in marketing or communication content development project management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel required.
  • Familiarity with desktop publishing software such as the Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator).
  • Familiarity with InDesign software a plus, but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and track project activities.
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry desirable. 
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills including the ability to write and speak clearly, succinctly and in a manner that appeals to wide audiences. 
  • Ability in using multi-media and presentation software required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and adaptive style to fit appropriate situations.
  • Excellent listening and phone skills.
