Oakland is currently recruiting to fillpart-time Pool
Managerpositions in Oakland Parks and Recreation Aquatic Centers
for both seasonal and year-round employment. Working hours vary
from week to week.
Under direction inOakland Parks and Recreation, performs a
variety of duties at the City's pools, including planning and
implementing aquatics programs, training and direction of part-time
staff, and communicating with the public; and performs related
duties as assigned. Work with management to directly operate pool
facilities and schedule staff. Provide leadership and direction to
Lifeguards andWater Safety Instructors. Lead in-service trainings
for staff, conduct facility inspections, and provide feedback to
management. Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
(WSI) and Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certifications are

Minimum Requirements for Application

The Selection Process
Stage I: The first stage in the selection process will consist
of a review of each applicant employment application , attachments
of the required Red Cross certifications, and signed supplemental
questionnaire for minimum qualifications (weighted pass/fail).
