Job Description:

Welcome to GSC Logistics Inc, a major transportation and drayage leader in the Ports of Oakland, Seattle, and Tacoma. We are seeking an IT Desktop Support Specialist to join our expanding team in Oakland, CA.

The responsibilities include responding to help desk inquiries/tickets, setting up new workstations and other computer equipment set up/tear town.

About the work:

-- Respond and resolve help desk ticket item: hardware, and software issues

-- Help maintain our computer and software systems.

-- Responsible for PC's, printers, service, and related equipment.

-- Assist with system upgrades.

-- Assist with onboarding new users.

-- Help keep equipment inventories.

-- Help install, configure, and upgrade software.

Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this role as needed.

About you:

-- Minimum of two years in IT desktop services.

-- You have strong people skills: employees are usually at their worst when problems arise!

-- You have a high level of self-motivation and a strong work ethic.

-- You have great trouble-shooting skills and are creative in resolving problems.

-- You have solid technical skills.

-- You have experience with cloud systems, traditional server systems, setting up and reconfiguring IT workstations.
