You'll apply your strong background in wetlands, waters and biological resources permitting to challenging projects throughout California and the western U.S. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area you'll have the opportunity to perform both field and desktop work, including specialty monitoring, coordination of environmental compliance across large projects, focused biological surveys, and project management. You'll serve as a key team member, building upon your experience and mentoring others. You'll be challenged as you support multiple projects with a variety of assignments, including, transportation, water storage and delivery, renewable energy, sustainability and resiliency projects. Here's What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, or similar discipline -
  • Demonstrated experience with the preparation of resource agency permit applications, including Clean Water Act Sections 404 and 401 water quality certifications, and Section 7 Endangered Species Act Consultation. -
  • Experience managing teams of compliance monitors -and performing wetland delineations and biological field surveys
  • Experience preparing environmental impact evaluation (CEQA and NEPA) and biological resources technical study reports. -
  • Ability to foster relationships with large project teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agency staff
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and field personnel
  • Ability to work in the field with the majority of work located within the San Francisco Bay Area Ideally, You'll Also Have:
    • Master's degree or other graduate degree
    • Professional Wetland Scientist Certification
    • Possession of a state [Scientific Collecting/MOU] or federal permit [10(a)1(A)] for listed species
