$18.25/hr

*GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION*
Under general supervision, the Wait Staff/Server's day-to-day work includes routinely setting up, clearing and cleaning and resetting dining room. Taking menu orders and serving residents and guests meals in a timely and gracious manner. Providing quality customer service to residents and guests. As a representative and team member of dining services, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction in the dining department.

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

*Work Duties*

* Greets residents and guests promptly as they arrive at their table;
* Records accurate food and beverage orders and input into the POS system;
* Explains how menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods;
* Informs guests of daily specials make recommendations;
* Attends pre-shift Showtime meetings, listening to menu descriptions and taking notes as needed to remember ingredients and allergy alerts
* Carries service tray incorrect placement of orders to facilitate service of food and beverages;
* Works safely, consistently using designated safety equipment (personal protective equipment- PPE);

*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*
*Education -*

* High school Level diploma, GED or equivalent knowledge or experience is preferred.

*Experience/Training -*

* Previous experience with elderly population or table waiting in a retirement setting preferred; any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

*Certificates, Licenses, Registrations -*

* ServSafe or Food Handlers Certificate preferred

*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*

* Ability to operate some kitchen tools and appliances; such as knives, cutting boards, serving trays, utensils, and coffee machines.
* Ability to exert moderate physical effort in medium work
* Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, and feet in carrying food to tables.
* Ability to exert a moderate amount of force occasionally, and/or a small amount of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
* Ability to bend, reach, stretch, and grasp constantly.
