WestCoast Children's Clinic (WCC) aims to improve the well-being of
children and families who live at the intersection of racism,

lives of young people. WestCoast Children's Clinic is seeking
skilled Mental Health Clinicians who are committed to the social
and emotional wellbeing of children, youth, and families. WCC
Clinicians work with children and youth to help them discover who
they are and what they can become. You will be joining a team of
clinicians, case managers, and support counselors who provide
intensive mental health services, including psychosocial
assessments, crisis stabilization, individual and family therapy,
and case management. We now offer a six-month new clinician
training program designed to address the development of skill areas
such as complex trauma, childhood development and attachment,
cultural awareness and sensitivity, collaboration and teamwork,
child and adolescent clinical concepts, and community mental
health. Clinical Programs WestCoast provides mental health services
through five specialized programs: Psychological
Assessment/Testing, Outpatient Clinical Services, Transition Age
Youth Services (TAYS) Program, and STAT (Screening, Stabilization
and Transition Program). Our interventions vary in scope and range,
bound by a commitment to meet our clients' needs. As a Outpatient
Clinial Psychotherapist, you will: Provide screening, assessment,
and therapeutic interventions; assess cognitive, emotional and
social functioning and needs; facilitate the identification and
engagement in mental health services. Provide individual and family
therapy, caregiver guidance, collateral contacts. Work with a case
manager as part of a care team to best serve youth. Provide
intensive mental health, clinical case management, and wrap-around
service development, including crisis intervention and
stabilization Conduct services at WCC and in the community (youth's
homes and communities, other agencies, and schools); travel is
required Collaborate with other professionals within WCC and
partnering agencies Engage with program leadership to foster a
continuum of quality improvement and strength-building strategies
for enhanced client services. Job Requirements Master's or doctoral
degree in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or
social work with current CA BBS/BOP license or registration. Direct
clinical experience working with youth who have experienced abuse
and neglect, community violence, commercial sexual exploitation,
and/or other trauma, foster care, and community mental health.
Demonstrated clinical skill in assessment, evaluation, treatment,
and crisis intervention. Sensitivity and awareness in recognizing
and addressing race, gender, power, and privilege, and how these
impact community mental health. Ability to manage time and work
efficiently; to be well-organized and complete timely
documentation; and to work independently and collaboratively as
part of a multidisciplinary team. Proven effectiveness working with
clients who have complex traumatic histories and attachment
difficulties. Clean CA DMV record Bilingual clinicians and
clinicians of color are strongly encouraged to apply. Pay and
Benefits Salary range for all clinician positions is
$60,000-$64,000+ annually depending on experience and current
licensure status, plus a 5% language differential, if applicable.
