OverviewElectric Asset & Regulatory is responsible for the electric
system engineering and planning, asset strategy, and risk
management across transmission, distribution, and substation asset
families. This centralized, risk-informed approach allows PG&E
to manage electric risk, asset and system health, interconnections,
and performance by using consistent standards, work methods,
prioritization, and program sponsorship, while leveraging lessons
learned from inspections and asset data to inform asset management
decisions. Accountable for asset planning and strategy, standards
and work methods, and asset data management for Electric. -
-Position SummaryPG&E is seeking an experienced business
professional to be a member of the Electric Incident Investigations
(EII) Team -as an On-Call Specialist. The EII team is responsible
for reporting Electric Incidents (EIRs) to the California Public
Utilities Commission (CPUC), investigating EIRs to determine the
cause and any corrective or preventive measures to mitigate
reoccurrence, investigating ignition incidents, and
leading/staffing the Intelligence & Investigations section of the
Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for Public Safety Power Shutoff
(PSPS) events. - -This role will serve a regular on-call function
to monitor a 24/7 hotline to field calls for potential
CPUC-reportable incidents, determine reportability of those
incidents, and report to the CPUC as appropriate. This position
will have a high level of visibility with PG&E leadership and
will support other aspects of EII's scope when not on-call. A
strong applicant will be an organized, motivated, inquisitive, a
consensus builder, and seeks to understand the "bigger picture".
Location of this position is flexible and will require occasional
travel to other areas around PG&E's service territory.
-PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good
faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the
job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of
the job. -The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on
multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills,
education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value,
geographic location, and internal equity. -We would not anticipate
that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the
top half of the range described below, but the decision will be
dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.---
Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area)$102,000.00
Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area)$162,000.00&/OR
Minimum Base Salary (California)$97,000.00
Maximum Base Salary (California)$154,000.00 - -Responsibilities
2+ years of job-related experience in utility incident
investigations.Master's Degree.Expertise with MS Excel, Power BI,
Access and proprietary software for reporting, analysis and
trending.Experience with electric operation systems (design or
operation or data systems associated within electric
operations).Strong drive for results and continuous
improvement.Ability to effectively communicate highly complex ideas
to diverse audiences using a variety of media with credibility,
confidence and clarity.Ability to handle multiple projects and
stakeholders and work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to gain
consensus from various stakeholders across multiple workgroups in a
matrixed environment. -
