OVERVIEWAs a security first organization, Technology Delivery
Services (TDS) is part of the Information Technology (IT)
Department. The TDS teams include Information Security, Planning
(architecture and PMO), Application Development, HR & Payroll
Development, Infrastructure, and Client Services teams. We maintain
an innovative, inclusive, and supportive work environment.POSITION
SUMMARYThe UCOP Middleware Operations team is new, dedicated team
focused on application, release, and support of UCOP's middleware
systems. The team is searching for an energetic, self-starter to
serve in a new Senior Middleware Administrator role. The role
collaborates with numerous members and cross-functional teams in
providing support and operation management/maintenance of the
existing infrastructure and components. The position requires a
background rooted in customer service, extensive collaboration with
cross functional teams, and excellent time management
skills.ResponsibilitiesAnalyzing, developing, modifying,
installing, testing, and maintaining middleware system software.
Responsibilities include; evaluating vendor supplied software
packages and making recommendations to IT management, providing
system administration of Microsoft servers; analyzing system logs,
identifying potential issues with production applications and
services.50%Perform detailed analysis of unit and user needs,
documentation of requirements, risk assessment and translation into
proper system and process requirement specifications. Standardize
and improve scalability, stability, efficiency, costs and security
for the diverse implementations and associated components hosted
both On Prem and in AWS.20%Utilize excellent interpersonal skills
sufficient to work with both technical and non-technical personnel
at various levels in the organization. Elicit, communicate,
present, and train technical and non- technical team members with
information in a clear and concise manner.20%Understand and apply
industry, community, department and unit practices, standards,
policies and procedures in depth. May serve as technical lead for a
team of IT professionals working on multiple projects of moderate
to broad scope.10%Required QualificationsAt least 8 years of
experience designing, developing, deploying IBM FileNet P8
components configurations.Significant hands-on Admin experience
with IBM FileNet P8 5.5.x (and above) suite of products with
experience including, but not limited to, administration of FileNet
P8, Content Management, and Process Engine (PE) and conducting IBM
FileNet performance tuning.Development experiences in developing
custom modules with FileNet P8 APIs and REST SOAP Web Services
integrating with ECM repositories like FileNet and/or
Others.Demonstrated knowledge and working experience in WAS, IBM
Content Navigator, ICC, IBM MQ and CeBIT (CE Bulk Importer
Tool).Knowledge of/exposure to working with IBM Content Navigator
(ICN), WAS, ICC, CPE, ACCE, CeBIT)General knowledge of/exposure to
integrating software with other systems and Databases.General
knowledge and experience of best practices with AWS cloud services,
including infrastructure, security, networking, database, code
pipeline and cost optimization.Ability to learn new technical
skills/services quickly through comprehensive research and analysis
and the ability to produce clear and concise recommendations and
guidance.Advanced knowledge of business and process analysis
functions. Knowledge of the design, development and application of
technology and systems to address cross functional team business
needs.Works independently, as part of a team, or collaboratively
with team members and maintains cooperative environment fostering
continuous teaching and learning while meeting
deadlines.Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal
skills, including the ability to communicate technical information
to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels of the
organization as well as executive-level management.Preferred
QualificationsAdvanced knowledge of traditional and cloud-based
security tools, best practices and policies including demonstrated
experience protecting all layers of the application
stack.Experience in Microsoft SQL queries for reports generation
and Shell Scripting would be huge plus.Release automation, system
administration, system configuration, automated build/deploy and
system debugging experience.Experience with application stack root
cause analysis, incident response, change management and digital
forensics.Previous experience in a role managing or designing
centralized technology services that meets the needs of
cross-functional teams across enterprise application solutions,
preferably in higher education environment.EducationBachelor's
degree in related area and / or equivalent experience /
trainingLicense/CertificationsAWS Certified Solutions Architect
Associate or Professional (Preferred) AWS Certified SysOps
Administrator Associate. (Preferred)SALARY AND BENEFITSSalary:
$135,000 - $155,000 annual commensurate with skills/experience.MSP
