Job Description:
-Basic Function: The Network Office Assistant for Student
Success, provides administrative office support to the Director of
Curriculum, Instruction, and Student Achievement, including the
Special Education Department, and related departments by assisting
with the management of the daily operations across the network.
-Essential Duties: -
- Greet and assist visitors -
- Initiate, receive, and direct telephone calls -
- Receive and distribute deliveries -
- Open, stamp, and distribute mail daily
- Oversee and reconcile supply orders
- Support Special Education, Curriculum, Instruction, Student
Achievement, including the Special Education Department, and other
departments with administrative tasks and projects
- Manage logistics for meetings, professional developments,
retreats and other convenings -
- Transcribe and compile meetings minutes and notes
- Coordinate travel arrangements for staff
- Compose correspondence, records, and documents related to
assigned activities
- Input a variety of data into computer systems and
databases
- Compile information and prepare and maintain a variety of
records and reports related to school programs and activities

- Create presentations, spreadsheets, forms, and other documents
using Google Suite, Microsoft applications, and other computer
programs
- Develop positive relationships with school community that are
aligned with LPS' culture and values -Other Duties
- Perform related duties as assigned - - Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience Any combination equivalent to: -
- Graduation from high school
- Minimum of three years of clerical experience involving
frequent public contact - -Licensing and Other Requirements -
- Employment eligibility that may include fingerprints,
tuberculosis and/or other employment clearance
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish highly desired
- Valid California Drivers' License -Knowledge of:
- Office practices, procedures, and equipment
- Telephone techniques and etiquette
- Google Suite and Microsoft Office and other computer systems
and assigned software applications
- Methods of collecting and organizing data and information
- Oral and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and professionalism
- -Skills and Ability to:
- Perform clerical support duties of a network (district)
office
- Answer telephones and greet the public professionally -
- Create simple presentations, forms, and other documents
- Learn, interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes,
rules and regulations, and school policies -
- Assist in ensuring smooth and efficient office operations
- Operate a variety of office equipment
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Understand and follow oral and written directions
- Complete work with many interruptions
- Meet schedules and timelines
- Work effectively across diverse communities
- Manage various projects and/or demands demonstrating
flexibility and effective time-management skills
- Demonstrate tact and confidentiality to earn the trust and
respect of the LPS community to leverage student support options
