Position GreenBiz is looking for a full-time Director of Circularity and Senior Analyst to lead the vision, strategy and execution of the Circularity brand and position GreenBiz as a trusted platform at the center of the circular economy community. - Successful applicants will be knowledgeable about the circular economy and will thrive being at the center of a dynamic market transformation. You must enjoy nurturing and building relationships, partnerships and communities, skillfully connecting with influential people and leading organizations. You are excited to curate compelling event content, identifying the best people, perspectives and topics to highlight at events. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with teams across GreenBiz including Marketing, Sales, Operations and Editorial on the execution of the event as well as overseeing the continued strategic growth of the Circularity brand. - As the voice of Circularity at GreenBiz, you will offer sharp insights and critical analysis in the Circularity Weekly newsletter and speak publicly at GreenBiz and other industry events. You are a natural solutions-oriented skeptic unafraid of asking tough questions. You have a passion to confront climate change and empower communities to build a better future. Responsibilities

  • Lead the Circularity event, including:
    • Managing the strategy, process, timeline and P&L for the Circularity event -
    • Collaborating closely with the Circular Economy Analyst to craft the agenda of breakout and keynote sessions -
    • Conducting interviews with key partners and advisors to understand and synthesize the circular economy landscape to inform conference sessions
    • Identifying, recruiting and spearheading coordination with content partners, moderators and speakers to develop conference sessions
    • Developing and managing Circularity host committee and advisory board -
    • Reviewing and evaluating speaker proposals related to Circularity -
    • Drafting titles and descriptions for conference sessions
    • Working closely with the Operations and Marketing teams to execute on all facets of the event and ensure alignment across the organization -
    • Working closely with Sales team to drive sponsor revenue
    • Hosting the event and moderating sessions as appropriate
    • Writing the Circularity Weekly newsletter
    • Identifying topics and potential partners for circular economy-focused webcasts and moderating if appropriate
    • Collaborating with the Editorial Team to periodically exchange ideas and resources and expand coverage of the circular economy
    • Develop and maintain industry partnerships, including: -
      • Deepen partnerships with aligned organizations (nonprofits, associations, institutions)
      • Attending industry events and identifying opportunities to contribute -
      • Consulting with Marketing team about potential partners and forging introductions where appropriate
      • Grow the Circularity brand, including:
        • Developing and managing new events and programs to create value for our community - Requirements:
          • Experience and proven track record of success in the circular economy. This includes an understanding of b2b and b2c circularity across sectors and roles.
          • Exceptional communication with strong writing, speaking and interpersonal skills.
          • Strong attention to detail with proven project management, time management and multitasking skills.
          • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across teams and externally with partners and customers outside of GreenBiz.
          • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, demonstrating initiative and accountability. -
          • An ambitious, creative personality, with a can-do attitude.
          • Quick thinking, learning and problem-solving capability.
          • Flexibility in a constantly evolving environment.
