We also promote healthy work-life balance and host social events for our staff, including snack breaks, holiday parties, happy hours, bowling nights, cookouts, outdoor adventures, and ballgames, to name a few.THE POSITIONThe Marketing and Production Manager will join either our Oakland or Los Angeles office and support EPS consulting staff in two primary ways: (1) assist teams with the production of client deliverables, including copy editing and graphic design for reports and proposals; and (2) support EPS leadership with implementation of firmwide marketing and branding efforts. Responsibilities involve day-to-day management of proposal efforts, document productions, and presentation slide decks to ensure document quality and completeness, including developing tables, charts, and other graphics to help communicate technical findings. This full-time position can be located in either the Oakland or Los Angeles office of EPS but may provide support to other EPS offices as well. The ideal candidate will not only be able to help with day-to-day duties but also help us find new ways to tell the story of our firm, highlight our major strengths and successes, and thereby elevate our firms standing in the field.This is a full-time position and EPS expects employees to spend time in-office each week, with some flexibility for remote work.RESPONSIBILITIESReport Production (Approximately 30% time)

  • Provide copy editing and quality control for client-facing reports, presentation slide decks, memoranda, and other correspondence
  • Prepare high-quality graphics and figures to help communicate EPS technical findings
  • Other special production requests, as assignedProposal Production (Approximately 40% time)
    • Manage proposal pursuits, including coordination with internal staff and external teaming partners
    • Track proposal deadlines, project leads and teaming opportunities, and coordinate with staff on pursuits
    • Compile proposal materials, including project description blurbs, staff rsums, and required forms
    • Provide copy editing and quality control for proposal text
    • Prepare supporting graphics and figures
    • Provide final review of proposals for completeness, ensure all requirements are met, and submit proposals, as requiredMarketing (Approximately 30% time)
      • Work with Marketing Committee to implement firmwide marketing and branding strategies, providing suggestions based on industry best practices
      • Execute various marketing and branding strategies, including:
        • Advance firmwide use of graphics, templates, and marketing materials
        • Coordinate with consulting staff and other support staff to regularly update various marketing channels, including website, newsletter, and social media
        • Suggest and implement copy and graphical updates to various marketing materials including website, document templates, qualification packages, and proposal components including project description blurbs
        • As appropriate, assist in engaging and managing third-party vendors that may be retained by EPS to support larger initiatives, such as website redesign or branding updatesRequirements
          • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (significant relevant work experience may be substituted for a degree)
          • Two or more years of experience in document production, copy editing, graphic design, and/or the preparation of proposals and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
          • Highly motivated and well-organized with intellectual curiosity
          • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work both independently and within teams; excellent communication skills are essential
          • Interest in land use, urban planning, real estate, public policy, and economics a plus
          • Candidates must have strong proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
          • Competency with InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator or other graphics and production software is highly desirableBenefits
