This role will support the Finance Manager of podcasting.What you'll do: Act as a contributor to the advertising business' annual budgeting, quarterly, and monthly outlook processes in order to establish targets and inform senior management of recent trendsMaintain and iterate advertising business-related financial models, including rolling forecasts, long term outlook, and various ad hoc requestsPerform ad hoc analyses that drive strategic business decisions. Analyze data and financial and business metrics used by the company and senior managementSuccinctly verbalize forecasts and budgets to the appropriate stakeholders, including preparing review materials. Be able to explain variances within versions and the impact of your changes to the Finance consolidation team and VP/SVPInvestigate variances between actuals and forecasts to understand trends and potential risks and opportunitiesDevelop relationships and collaborate with multiple departments to understand the effect of the advertising business on company initiatives that inform our rolling forecastsLead process improvement initiatives to streamline monthly deliverablesWhat you'll need:Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field2+ years of experience in finance roles.Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Proactive self-starter with the ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately to meet tight deadlinesStrong financial analysis and quantitative skills; high attention to detail is a mustExcellent oral and written communication skills. Comfortable working with and articulating financial concepts to managers and senior executivesExcellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environmentHigh standard for integrity required for exposure to confidential company performance data and legal contractsPower user of Excel and PowerPoint.
