Description:We are a supply upcycling company in Oakland is looking for an industrial yard maintenance technician. Ideally this candidate would come from the construction or industrial industry with heavy equipment, conveyor, and motor maintenance This is not an automated robotics position in a manufacturing plant. This is a mechanically forward role in a construction yard changing out motors, gear boxes, conveyor systems, and on their heavy equipment (loaders, dozers, excavators, etc.)Day to Day:Will come in each morning and review the work order from Jacob, the Yard Manager., to perform each day. After he/she reviews, needs to walk the yard and make sure all the machines are running properly. This can be replacing motors, gear boxes, etc. Will be working with Maintenance Management Software, COGs. Will be using to enter and cross reference with work orders. You need to be comfortable working in outside with different weather environments.This Maintenance Technician will be responsible for: - Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair- Repairing and troubleshooting heavy machinery. - Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs on equipment. - Maintaining the yard and plant.- To be able to read work orders.- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries- Is knowledgeable in troubleshooting hydraulics and conveyor belt systems. - Knowledgeable in hydraulic lines. - Attend to some welding.- Attend to replacing motor gear boxes, electrical conveyor belts.Skills:Electrical, Troubleshooting, Maintenance technician, Hydraulics, Preventive maintenance, Service, welding, excavator maintenance, dozer maintenance, loader maintenance, forklift maintenance, maintenance management software, COGs, military, USAF, DOD, marines, army, navyTop Skills Details:Electrical,Troubleshooting,Maintenance technician,HydraulicsAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Diesel MaintenanceMilitary experience!Experience Level:Entry Level About Aerotek: We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
